What an event – A Huge snowball fight at the University of Toronto
Reporter caught in crosshairs
One massive snowball fight hastily organized event for a day of fun in the snow with some rules to have fun and blow off some steam at the U of T on the big winter storm of 2015 happened. And next year they will go for the world record of the greatest massive snowball fight ever!
On this huge snowball fight at U of T, a CTV News Reporter got caught in crosshairs and was hit several times with snowballs while reporting. The rules are simple: Hit below the neck if possible, snowballs only to be used and no foreign objects allowed and no surprise hit to bystanders which apparently didn’t include the News Reporter, LOL! The snowball fight was captured on TV by the CTV News Chopper.
The organizers and hundreds of college students had lots of fun and blew off so much steam and some came prepared with goggles and umbrellas for protection. Snowball fights are banned in middle schools, high schools and kinder for obvious reasons (kids might get hurt badly) and if caught will get suspended. College students were allowed to have a huge snowball fight as an organized event for the U of T.
Well, I had fun watching it on the news and probably would have been there at the huge snowball fight if I was a U of T student, hahaha. I saw a guy who had cameras with him, another news reporter perhaps covering the huge snowball fight. I’ll wait for those photos to show up in the news one of these days.
What fun they had on that crazy day when schools were closed because of the big winter storm wallop that dumped up to almost 2 feet of snowfall in the city and beyond. Most city Kids went tobogganing on snow-covered hills in the parks and now this massive snowball fight. Oh what fun!
