Another Birthday Celebration! (Updated – 03 July 2013)
We do this every year, get a year older and then celebrate another Happy Birthday! Years before the recession of 2008-2009, we celebrate each birthday with a huge dinner party and invite all our dear family, relatives and close friends to attend and celebrate with us. But all of that have changed now and we only have a quiet dinner with family members. We still give out gifts and presents, mostly what the celebrant yearns for and wants to get as a gift. But sometimes we give the celebrants cash/money with their birthday cards so that they can buy whatever they please for their birthday gifts.
I got a bottle of my favorite perfume as gift!
I also received a bunch of real pretty birthday cards full of best wishes with lots of money for my birthday!
When I celebrated my birthday, I got a few gifts, like a bottle of my favorite perfume, a real nice T-Shirt (for my tennis outfit), and a bunch of real pretty birthday cards full of best wishes and lots of cash/money for my birthday! And I also got a brand new Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS Digital Camera. Not much really, I used to get boxes and boxes of presents before, some that I liked and others that are a bit useful, but all the same I’m still thankful for the thoughtfulness and the gifts from all the invited guests.

We did go out before the gifts opening and had a quiet family dinner party at the Red Lobster Restaurant hosted by my older sister, Angie. We had a reservation for an early dinner party. Then after dinner and dessert, there was also a presentation of a make-believe birthday cake made out of a chocolate cake slice topped with vanilla ice cream and had a tiny lighted candle so that I can blow it out after I’ve made my birthday wish! If there’s a wish that I’d make, then I really wished that my Mom was here to share this family dinner with us but unfortunately she passed away years ago and we missed her so much. She was always there during our past birthday celebrations and she never missed any of our birthdays and for that I’m forever thankful! Cheers!
And to all my family and friends who greeted me a very Happy Birthday in person, by phone, by emails and on the Social Media (Facebook/Twitter/etc), I am truly grateful for your heartfelt wishes! Thank you so much! Merci Beaucoup! Grazie mille! Muchas gracias! Daghang pasalamat sa inyong tanan! Maraming Salamat sa inyong lahat!
May God bless you all!

03 July, 2013 – Updates!
Hey, did you know what I got for myself from my birthday money gifts and some money that I’ve saved? Give up? I got a new PC All-in-One. It has only 4GB RAM and 640 GB HDD, good enough for me! Nowadays, standard Desktop PCs have 6 to 8GB of RAM and 1T to 2T (1T=1,000GB) of HDD with OS WIN8 mostly gaming computers and probably cost a lot, too.
My new PC is an All-in-One Computer with a 20″ LCD touchscreen, OS WIN7 and WIFI capability. It was on sale so I got it (the mini-computer is attached behind the 20 inch monitor) with a wireless keyboard and mouse, then also a built-in webcam and microphone to go with the PC. There’s also the built-in speaker that is attached underneath the monitor with a DVD-RW on the right side and there are 2-usb outlets on left and other outlets in the back. It’s so cool!!! It’s like a cross between a laptop & desktop, quite heavy though at 3.5 kgs. Here’s an illustration of the All-in-One PC that I got now.
