My Early Summer Holidays Coming Soon!
For the next few weeks, I will be enjoying my 2013 summer vacation and I’ve been looking forward to this short breakaway from my daily routine schedule since the start of the year. I will be on the road traveling and what a respite from that grueling blogger’s schedule.
My mission is not only to travel but also to do what I love best, painting and sketching while I’m away having fun with my family on our summer vacation. There won’t be any updates or new posts in my blog until I get back from this long-awaited summer vacation. Blue Mountain Village, Thornbury and Clarksburg, Creemore and Meaford on the beautiful harbour on Georgian Bay are going to be visited.
This will be one of those trips and vacations of family bonding and togetherness. Our last family vacation together with our dear mom to DisneyWorld was a blast! And everybody had a great time with Mickey and Minnie Mouse and the Disney family of characters. That’s when we rented a condo townhouse because all hotels were fully booked for that March Break holiday. Before that we went on another family vacation to sunny Honolulu in Oahu when we got so tired of the nasty wintry weather here at home. The beaches in Honolulu were awfully crowded so we went to Hanauma Bay instead. That beach in the cove was awesome. I still have to find my Disney and Honolulu photo albums so that I can catch up with the back log in my blogs.
This time we are going to rent a cottage by Georgian Bay in Collingwood, Ontario and go swimming at Wasaga Beach nearby. And then go on some food trips around the cottage county area. Perhaps I will bring my new hobby kites and fly it with the help of the twin kids on some windy days. The kids want to bring their badminton rackets with shuttles, also their soccer and footballs then play them at the huge cottage backyard.
Our close friends are invited to join us at the cottage by the lake, no RSVP’s yet but we hope they would join us even only for a short weekend and have BBQ feasts with the family at the cottage. I might bring that Asus netbook instead of my notebook and journal so that I can do some writing when everyone have retired and gone to sleep. I usually burn the midnight candle, something I’m so used to even in my college and high school days.
My Canon DSLR is ready to roll and also all my painting gears in the paint boxes (brought some extra watercolour paper pads, brushes and more watercolour tubes just in case the kids would like to join me in my painting spree). See you all when I get back, bye for now. I’m off to that cottage by the lake with my family! This is going to be one great summer holiday!!!!
