My Day 20: ONTARIO TRAVEL SERIES #13 Canadian National (CN) TOWER in TORONTO
The Canadian National Tower popularly known as The CN Tower dominates the Toronto Skyline. The first time that I went to visit this tower known as the tallest free-standing structure in Canada was a very thrilling experience for me. When the elevator goes up to the pod level, which takes only a few minutes, mind you, it will take your breath away. Not only in awe with the speed that brings you up almost to the tip of the tower but also the view that you can watch on the elevator windows through the glass side of the express elevators that move quietly up and down the tower’s side structure. There are also hundreds of steps in the tower which is secured and the entrance can only be opened by management on an emergency or when the elevators malfunction which have never happened yet due to the great maintenance by the tower’s engineering staff.
There’s also a revolving restaurant, 360 The Restaurant at the CN Tower, one of Toronto’s finest that features unforgettable food combined with a magnificent revolving view of Toronto more than 351 metres (1,151 ft) below. And on a clear day, you can see the Niagara region and be awed by the beauty of the majestic Niagara Falls in Niagara, Ontario, Canada.
