Procrastination is very difficult to overcome until now…
Procrastination, a very difficult word to get rid of even in my very own system. I’ve been procrastinating all my life and it’s time to get on and live life to the fullest. How did I do it?
On the last day of our college days, we were given a task by our professor to talk about something important in our lives and deliver it as a short speech in front of the graduating class. Of all topics I chose, ‘Time Management’ something that I believed would get rid of this habit of procrastination if we learned to manage our time.
Some of the members of the graduating class talked about dreams, ambitions, jobs, travel and all sorts of topics in real life but for me managing your time is more important to be able to make all of your dreams come true, reach your ambitions and then travel the world. By procrastinating all these things will never be a reality in life because they will all be done tomorrow and not today, so do it NOW!!!
But for some reason and good excuses it didn’t seem to affect me at all after graduation until recently. Now I have to do lists everyday in order to manage my time, also a schedule to finish the list, then at the end of day accomplishing 4 out of 5 is good but 5 out of 5 is better. Sometimes I have 10 on the list and 9 out of 10 is great but 10 out of 10 is awesome. At first it seems tedious but later on it became so easy doing the list everyday, try it and it can work wonders, getting rid of the bad habit of procrastination once and for all!
According to a friend on her blog here are the 3 P’s that will keep you on track: 1. Purpose, 2. Priorities, and 3. Progress
What’s your translation? My translation of the 3 P’s are the goal, the means to achieve it, and then the great results. There’s still hope!
