The Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival of 2013
The first Dragon Boat Festival back in 1989 has evolved to a much bigger operation over the past two and a half decades. There’s a two-day fun-filled event that brings sports, team spirit and community spirit to Toronto Centre Island on June 22 and 23, 2013, that was last weekend.
It is organized by the TCBA (Toronto Chinese Business Association) and TIDBRF (Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival). This Festival in 2013 again expected 180 to 200 teams with over 5,000 athletes and held at Toronto Centre Island even on a very rainy day last Saturday but the next day, Sunday was quite sunny.
