The Shangri-La Hotel Toronto’s Lovely Glittering Chandeliers
What amazed me the most at the Shangri-La Hotel Toronto are the tons of lovely glittering chandeliers that decorated their ceilings. All you’ve got to do is look up and you are transported to another world of chandeliers thinking about palaces in Europe.
The beautiful urns that could pass as antique-looking ones are all over the place in glass cases and this is one of those urns. It’s such an amazing place to see all of these Chinese bases and urns and that are on display. It’s a magical world to see things that should have belonged in the past, the dynasties and the empires of this world. They’re here right in front of me, although you can’t touch them as they are encased in glass, you can just admire their beauty.
Even the restroom was decorated of all things with a lovely red orchid plant, wow. The walls were of marble in unusual design. The place was well lighted and to get in, just wave your hand at the black plate by the door and there ‘open sesame’, the door makes way for entrance and exit so easily.
This is the elevator area and there’s a lounge where you can sit and rest near the Queen’s Park Ballroom Banquet Hall. Everything is close by in a circular pattern so that you don’t have to walk on long corridors.
The Shangri-La Hotel Toronto’s Quiet Outdoor Garden Patio
Then I stepped into the outdoor garden that was filled with people having cocktails and hors d’oeuvres earlier before the banquet at the wedding reception that we have attended. Now that it is completely empty, I took the liberty to photograph this nice outdoor garden with rocks that were brought in from the cottage country to sit here in the middle of nowhere. What a lovely quiet place to have high tea in the afternoon.
Also seen here is the reflection of Shangri-La Hotel Toronto on the building across the street from where I took this photo at the Museum Hall. All in all this new hotel is such a beautiful place. I still have to try their fabulous restaurants and visit here again soon. This is just one of the myriad 5-Star Hotels in downtown Toronto. Way to go Shangri-La Hotel Toronto !!!
