My Travel Adventures to Lake Lucerne, Switzerland
Lake Lucerne was also in our itinerary and went to see the famous Lion Monument in Lucerne. When we went to see and admire Thorwaldsen’s Lion Monument, we also walked through the Old Town, and crossed the famous covered Chapel Bridge to the Jesuit Church. Then we had time to shop for Swiss watches at the Swiss watch stores.
The Famous Covered Chapel Bridge
Hotel Palace Luzerne
Here we checked into a very nice Hotel Palace Luzern, a 5 star hotel. Everyone was bragging about the decor of their hotel rooms; like Provincial and Tudor styles but my room topped them all because I was assigned to a room with a Japanese motif except for the elevated bed, everything was almost authentically Japanese, even the sliding divider doors. Most futon beds in Japan are spread on the floor but the one I got was laid out on an elevated bed platform, very un-Japanese like but European in style, I guess. And the next day we all climbed lofty Mount Pilatus and took the train up to the Swiss Alps and on our way down from the mountains we took the red cable cars.
